Resources / Calculate Quantum Risk

Calculate your organization's quantum risk

In minutes you will know whether the traffic you encrypt today is harvestable now to be decrypted later, how much time you have left according to Mosca's inequality and what to prioritize in your post-quantum migration.

The calculator runs on the Quantum Safe Observatory, the initiative Cyte® sponsors. Free to use, nothing to install.

Three diagnoses in a single tool

The calculator combines a real measurement of your domain with the decision framework we use in migration projects.

Has your data already been harvested?

Enter your organization's domain and its real TLS handshake is intercepted, exactly as an adversary would, to determine whether that traffic is harvestable today. Only the public certificate the domain hands to any browser is queried.

Mosca's inequality

How many years your data must stay secret (X), how long your migration will take (Y) and when Q-Day arrives (Z). If X + Y > Z, what you encrypt today will be public before it stops mattering.

Exposure index and plan

A score from 0 to 100 and an action plan with priorities, estimated costs and next steps across channels, PKI, HSM/KMS, data at rest and DevSecOps.

An initiative of the Quantum Safe Observatory, sponsored by Cyte®

The Quantum Safe Observatory measures the real cryptographic exposure of the region's critical sectors and keeps the countdown to Q-Day. Cyte® is its technology sponsor: the calculator runs on the Observatory's own data and methodology, which is why it lives there and not inside this site.

We sponsor the Observatory because we are pioneers in post-quantum cryptography and leaders in real PQC implementations: not labs or proofs of concept, but production in banking, government and critical infrastructure, including COBOL, AS/400 and OT environments. What the calculator shows you as risk, at Cyte® we have already solved in the field.

  • Applied cryptography and quantum-safe migrations executed end to end.
  • Our own portfolio of post-quantum solutions, not third-party resale.
  • Support from assessment through operation with crypto-agility.

And after the assessment?

We help you turn the calculator's result into a post-quantum migration roadmap with scope, timelines and costs.
